April, 2010 I came to USA. The first few months was exciting as well as I was busy to settle down. After a while I started to feel something is missing. And that was my country, our Bangladesh. From then to today I always feel something special in any kind of event where I can be in touch with our culture, heritage or just with someone from Bangladesh. I believe we who live aboard all feel the same way.

After I moved to Chicago, I really appreciate the way everyone in Chicago welcomed and made us a part of this community. BAC's events was my favorite from the beginning to feel close to Bangladesh.

Now as a part of BAC's board member I feel great responsibility to the Bangladesh community. I always want to help others and do my best for the betterment for the community. I think the happiness and joy I get to go along with anyone from Bangladesh is priceless.

And last not least my wife, Shammi Afroze (Soma) without her nothing wouldn't so pleasant as now it is. All the care and effort she does I'm really lucky. I'm proud that she feels same way as I do for anything better for the community.
