Feryall Rahman discovered the Bangladesh Association of Chicagoland in November 2012 and immediately brought her background in Finance and Accounting, and Public Policy to bear on the organization's activities. She was involved with the accounting of Board programs, creating and publishing its annual commemorative magazine, and posters for its programs. Her experience in sound recording technologies and techniques, public radio broadcasting, and movie production were utilized in her being the Audio-Visual Coordinator for one of its musical programs. She was elected to the 2014-2015 Board as Executive Secretary. In addition to the duties of the post, she continued the activities she was assigned before her joining the Board, and additionally initiating and developing a blueprint for the re-tooling of the organization's website, and becoming the Facilitator for the organization's Constitution Review Committee.

Feryall was born and brought up in Bangladesh, but has lived in the United States for more than thirty years, most of which were in the Chicagoland area. She attended college in New York City and worked at University of Illinois-Chicago for thirteen years as a Grant Auditor. Feryall's hobbies are wide-ranging. She has written a cookbook (not yet published) and is currently working on another. She is adept in genealogy and genealogical history. She loves patchwork quilting and has been a quilter for twenty-five years. In addition to writing, cooking, and quilting, she is an avid off-roader, and was the first Bangalee woman to go sky-diving. She has seven years of martial arts training. Her motto is to live life so that her actions are always for the greater good.
