It had been more than three decades I left Dhaka, Bangladesh for USA to pursue my dream, that is, studying abroad in America. At that time, I was in a university in Dhaka studying my BSc.

I was accepted by a university in the state of Missouri. When I arrived in Missouri, I thought I will be all by myself, but I was very surprised to see and met three dozens of Bangladeshi students got admission for the same semester. I studied on Computer Science with Business Administration. During my school years, I used to visit Chicago with other friends from Missouri for summer job and then go back to school again. Those few years I really got attached with Chicago and after finishing university I decided to settle in Chicago with professional job in the private sector. After more than twenty years working in the private sector, I got an offer in the public sector from the City of Chicago. Here I am specialized and offer my expertise in Public Benefits and Medicare Insurance and benefits.

In 1991, I went back to Dhaka, met the most beautiful woman in my life. Her name was Nasrin Sultana (Ria). We got married, she migrated to USA. We now have two beautiful daughters, Faiza (Trisha) and Farnaz (Suha). Faiza is now doing very well and enjoying her freshman year at Loyola University of Chicago, 2015 and Farnaz got admission to Northside College Prep High School for her high school studies for fall of 2016.

We all love to live in Chicago. We also love Bangladesh Association of Chicagoland (BAC). In my term as the head of BAC, we will try to move BAC towards more friendly, charitable and community driven organization that will involve every member of our community. Thank you.
